How To Make Pancit ( Filipino Noodles)
My husband and my in-laws loves eating Pancit. This is one of their favorite filipino food. This is also one of my popular recipe. :) What i mean is that everytime i made this, everyone loves it.
Ingredients:
1 8 oz. pack pancit bihon noodles ( You can buy this in any asian store)
1 cooked chicken breast, shredded
2 cups of chicken broth or 2 chicken bouillon cubes dissolved in 2 cups of water
1/4 cabbage, sliced into strips
1 onion, pealed and sliced
3 cloves of garlic, crushed and minced
2 carrots, sliced into strips
20 pcs Green Beans sliced
20 pcs Snow pea
2 tablespoons of cooking oil
3/4 cup diced celery
3 tablespoons soy sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
5 pieces of lemon, sliced (optional)
Cooking Instructions:
Soak the pancit bijon noodles to soften for 10 minutes
Grease a large pan or wok with oil. Sauté garlic and onions.
Add the shredded chicken breast, carrots and green beans and stir for 6 mins.
Add the chicken broth, soy sauce, salt and pepper to taste. Wait until it boils.
Mix in the pancit bihon noodles and stir for about 5 minutes or until the noodles are soft.
Add the Cabbage and Celery.
Serve hot with sliced lemon on the side.
Cooking Notes:
Lemon is to be squeezed into the pancit bihon before eating.
